All I'd have to say is ask someone who has done it. Ask about: (a) dependability (b) mileage (c) ease of repair/maintenance (d) cold weather operation (below 45 degrees F) I'll leave it at that. :) Bringing ideas to life, G. Dual Carb setup for '81 2.0 + FI system FT/S I'm interested in replacing the worthless Weber progressive currently residing in my engine bay with a factory-style dual carb setup. I believe these came on Euro-version aircooled Vanagons; please correct me if I'm wrong. I have available for trade a complete factory aircooled FI system including the airbox, ECU etc, in very nice/clean condition with all new hoses/lines. I've never had the the system up and running, so all I know about it is that it's complete and reputed to work well by the PO. I'd also be interested in selling this system outright, make me an offer. Yes, Matthew, I know the FI system is supposed to be the best solution for these cars, but I've decided I just don't want to screw with it! Carb issues I can deal with, electronic systems I cannot. If anyone's got a factory setup, or even something that works as good or better, let me know! Thanks for looking- JJ Oklahoma City _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 helps eliminate e-mail viruses.
