With only 500 miles on my new 1.9 engine (85 vanagon), was sideswiped by an
18 wheeler who was passing me as I was making a left hand turn.  Van was
towed with steering problems, obvious body work on the left, and
transmission out of adjustment.  I think it is salvagable.  Can anyone give
me any advise on how to deal with the commercial trucking company (Transport
corporation of America) in getting them to fix the van and give me a rental
in the meantime?  The accident happened in rural Nevada, highway 95, 40
miles south of Hawthorne on Sunday around 12:20--if anyone is interested.
