I've installed several after-market cruise control units in various car but
not a vanagon. Some of the c.c. units I've put in required the installation
of magnets on the drive shaft and a sensor near the magnets. I don't see
why this type of c.c. unit couldn't work on a Vanagon by mounting the
magnets on one of the inner CV joints with the sensor mounted on the tranny.
Hope this helps.
Jeff

Subject: Criuse Control
Hi Everyone, Has anyone successfully installed an after market
cruise control on a water cooled Vanagon? I would appreciate any leads to
help me get a cruise control in my van. The local Rostra Dealer told me
their cruise control woould not work on a Vanagon.Have something to add on this topic today? Revive this thread in the forum »
