Any specific reason why?

KYB'a are not inherantly bad shocks. They're 1/4 the price of Bilsteins ... They work on my Westy well... Not all vanagon owners have the money to spend on the expensive shocks.

They might have a harder ride then others ... But KYB's are a decent shock for the money.

I'd love to more on their reasoning.
