        Poor Richard Palmer has done this exact transplant.  You can find details

        Looks like it requires some considerable fabrication and welding skills,
but it can most definitely be done.

Any chance that the Pop top from a 75 Bay window bus would fit a 66
Splittie?
I've located a decent pop top on a 75 Bus and was just wondering if this
would be a possible upgrade for my Splittie.
Anybody out there done this before?
