Probably start in the afternoon, organize a pot luck kind of dinner thing
and bonfire at night.  Night's pretty early so no one would have to stay
late to enjoy the fire.

I like bad weather at the beach so that wouldn't stop me.  Maybe others feel
differently but having a source of dry clothes and a dressing room nearby is
the strong point of the vans for me.
