My 86 Vanagon needs a new clutch. I saw that the Bus Depot stocks three different models by Sachs and LuK. They say the Sachs is the industry stanard. They list two LuK kits, a heavy duty and a Premium. Vanagain lists a Sachs and a LuK, but uses different stock numbers from those at the Depot. I would be very interested in knowing what you think of these kits. Specifically, what are the REAL differences, and equally important (from my wife's perspective) what effect does each of these units have on pushing in the clutch peddle. Does the clutch peddle get more and more difficult to push in as you go "up" the list, or is the beffier pressure plate compensated for by a better design? Lastly, do you think the kits are worth the price they are asking? --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
