Stock Impreza WRX STi Type RA, claimed 290hp (and you can bet they're over 300 in reality). Also twin-turbo Legacys are 290+. >There are plenty of 240hp WRX engines with low miles imported from >Japan sitting >waiting to be picked up. $650. Will not work with manual trans but >may with AT. Sure they will. You'd need to modify the slave cylinder to clear the plumbing (makes more sense than hacking the plumbing). Move cylinder away from turbo and fit long pushrod. Fit a heatshield too. >Needs part of engine firewall removed for intercooler. >Saw STI engine rated at 270HP. These early hi-po engines however lack low-end torque... later ones apparently addressed this problem with some success. -- Andrew Grebneff 165 Evans St, Dunedin 9001, New Zealand <andrew.grebneff@stonebow.otago.ac.nz> Seashell, Macintosh, VW/Toyota van nut
