While I didn't drive over Carson Pass last weekend, over the past 3 years, I
have driven over the pass in all kinds of weather.  In general, I can get
the chains on in less than 5 minutes, and the van handles extremely well in
the snows.  At times, defrosting the front window is a problem as is
collection of snow on the wipers, but I would not hesitate to take the van
out in even the worst of weather.
