I have an idea! Mount the license plate to a 12 volt orbital sander- hit the switch just before the intersection.(blurred picture) You can test this on a friend's car. Then he can honestly say he wasn't driving (pay him for his trouble).  

Hey- how about one of those central locking servos to open the license plate lid?-Hit the switch just before the intersection-the license plate lid opens! (picture of overflow bottle/oil filler tube) Brilliant!!!!

So some people deal with this crazy Big Brother thing, by driving long

If you enter the intersection at the moment the light turns to yellow,
and continue you are almost certain to get a ticket, since the cycle is so short,
that you won't be out of there by the time it turns to red.
My vanagon became a moving road blockade, but at least, I didn't get a ticket,
and my bus didn't get rear-ended. No small feat in L.A. these days.
