Your O.E. fire extinguishers are most likely useless after all these
years.  I bought a couple of Kidde Fire-Away dry chemical 1-A:10-B:C
extinguishers (model FA110G) at Home Despot for around $10 apiece.  It
has more fire fighting capacity than original, and it fits in the same
space.
