Subject:Re: Exhaust Question: Stock, S&S, or Sebro?

I, too, have the S+S headers and am less than impressed with their quality. They work, but i had to do a little work to eliminate rubbing and rattling. Basically, the stock pipes are some fancy silica steel alloy and the S+S jobbers are plain mild steel. Not to mention the serious reefing mine took to install, my guess is that they won't last long. They are relatively cheap, though. Mild rust is showing after a year in sunny cali.
If i were to do it again, i'd take a serious look at stebro (didn't know about them at the time), and then think about stock.
If rust is your main concern, don't even consider S+S.

Good luck, and happy holidays

Has anyone had good or bad experiences with the other options for exhaust

something that will not rust up here in the North. Thanks very much.
