Hello from Atlanta, Ga.  The two plastic guide pieces that you found in the junkyard are also frequently found inside the door of the van on the bottommost section where they have fallen to due to excessive wear in the window crank mechanism.  If the replacement guides fall into the door also, the crank mechanism is to blame.  Hope this helps!
