A few months ago I remember a short discussion about treating water
sources.

The concern as I recall was bacteria.

Some first hand experience suggested this was an area worth being
educated about.

There was talk of filters (charcoal and such) and other treatment
approaches.

Searching the archives ...... I can't seem to find any conclusion to
this discussion.

What are folks doing about "Water Treatment"?

Note ... this is not about treating/cleaning the onboard storage tank.
