Hi fellow Tiico owners. I am doing my first oil change(myself). I've had the
first 3 done at the shop that installed it.
Anyways is it 10W30 that we are to run in these engines?

Hi Randy. I'm using Mobil Syn 15W50 all year. Started at 8K. You may want to
call the installer and see what they recommend based on where your engine is
in break in. There is a wide range of opinions about when an engine is
broken in.

It's going to be a filter specifically for the model/year of your TIICO.
Mine is a 2000 Jetta III so I use a Fram: PH2870A, K&N: 57-0362
You are likely still breaking in your motor so if you've got less than 8 or
10 K on it the 10W30 will likely be fine. I'd suggest a higher viscosity
beginning in the spring where you live.
Hopefully, you'll get so many other different responses that you will wind
up much more confused than informed. (VBG)
