They're actually the same! I just switched to K&N when I started putting
them on the Jetta motor. Misstatement on my part.

Hmm. I use the standard Vanagon oil filter on my Tiico. Fits fine and I
had several in my inventory (still got a couple from a good deal I got
a couple of years ago at a VW dealer in Staunton Virginia.)
