Hi Karl There is a way around the legal maximum power output of these piezo electric screamers. Use two or more of them. Choose identical matching units. Use the highest power output you can buy. Face them all around the area you want to protect facing toward the middle. When they scream, the wave reinforcement will create peaks of amplitude (power) and frequency (cell damaging) that should either send the intruder out the door or just out cold. Be careful how you test this setup. Explain it to Kelly. Use a hidden switch to disable it. You don't want it to accidentally go off while you are inside or worse still while you are driving. Larry <<I'm finally getting around to adding a few theft deterrents to make my Westy less attractive to would-be thieves (yes, I know it is already UGLY and rusty, and covered in controversial bumper stickers). I remember reading once that a maker of alarm systems advertised an optional 'pain generator' that screeched so loudly that the thief would run screaming from the vehicle. Has anyone here used such a deterrent, or have any other ideas as to what else would provide the desired effect? Assuming at this point the thief ignored the red flashing LED in the middle of the instrument cover. I'd just like to add one last deterrent in case someone really wants this old thing, when the dog isn't there to bark growl and bite!>>
