Yea thats what I was thinking, too - that it was backwards. But hey - South Carolina (by the Georgia border) is a whole different world to me so I didn't question it. Usually when I break down on the side of the interstate the average repair price is somehow magically always around $450. So I was pretty pleased with paying $265 and only $35 for the top of the line Knights Inn next door! :) Peace, Marla '87 Westy GL Van "Morrison" >From: "Laurence Smith" <laurence@alanasmith.com> >Reply-To: <laurence@alanasmith.com> >To: "Marla Stelk" <mjstelk@HOTMAIL.COM> >Subject: RE: Made it to Florida and back! >Date: Tue, 7 Jan 2003 00:50:47 -0500 > >Sound sot me like they got their numbers backwards. $200 for labour >is about right and so is $65 for the pump. $265 for the whole lot is >quite reasonable. > >---------------------------------------- >Laurence Smith >Hamilton, Ontario, Canada >90 Westy (fanumbos) >87 GL (Subaru conversion in progress) >---------------------------------------- > > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Vanagon Mailing List > > [mailto:vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM]On Behalf > > Of Marla Stelk > > Sent: Monday, January 06, 2003 9:55 AM > > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > > Subject: Made it to Florida and back! > > > > > > Hello volks, > > > > For those of you who had read my earlier write-ups about my > > tranny woes, > > etc. I just wanted to report that after the tranny guys > > fixed their repair > > job the second time (he just went in and replaced all the > > seals - something > > he should have done the first time....) she's working like > > a gem and brought > > me to Florida and back to Massachussetts!!
