It just a negotiation tactic. Once someone expresses an interest then the seller starts the pricing game. Its just the way some people operate. I don't like it and I rarely contact someone who doesn't post the price. If I do make contact with a person not showing the price I usually end up paying too much because the transaction then has some momentum to it. These sellers know that. ---------------------------------------- Laurence Smith Hamilton, Ontario, Canada 90 Westy (fanumbos) 87 GL (Subaru conversion in progress) ---------------------------------------- > -----Original Message----- > From: Vanagon Mailing List > [mailto:vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM]On Behalf > Of Chuck Hill > Sent: Friday, January 10, 2003 12:09 PM > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: Price, Price, Price > > > People, if you really want to sell something that you let > us know about > on this list, I really think it would be best if you gave > the price and > location. > > If you don't have the balls to say the price out loud in > public, then > maybe you shouldn't be trying to pull this shit on the list. > > Chuck Hill >
