A bullet, or at least some of them, is designed to deform on impact so as to cause damage to that which it hits. Yes, I know, some aren't. At any rate, a meteorite is not made of lead, it is made of nickel, iron, and other metals that have distinctly different characteristics from bullets. It wouldn't necessarily obliterate whatever it hit in an explosive manner. Nice try though . . . :^) Marc Perdue "Miller, Ryan" wrote: > Have you ever seen what a bullet does to an apple? > > Ryan > > -----Original Message----- > From: ian Butler [mailto:ian@BLUEMOON.HPLX.NET] > Sent: Friday, January 17, 2003 2:48 PM > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: Re: Friday - hazards to our van (LVC) > > On Fri, 17 Jan 2003, developtrust wrote: > > > I just still do not believe a meteor will slow down enough to cause such > > minor damage.
