The simplest solution is often the right one.

Dave got me wondering with his comment about ice in the tank or lines,
so I dumped in a one dollar bottle of gas line antifreeze.  No more,
whining pump, and no more starved van.

I bought a new pump, filter, and fuel lines, and all I needed was some
gas line antifreeze.
