Count your blessings, I can hardly find an air cooler in Texas wrecking yards, the owners made it clear to California before they broke down and found your backyard. >> Stanthule, The reason we have many aircooled vans being parted out here is because few people want to fix them. You can get a very nice aircooled Westy here for around $2K. Few WBX Westies sell under $4K. So when the aircooled motors grenade themselves, fe folks are willing to spend the $$$ to rebuild the engines. The cost of the rebuild far exceeds the value of the finished vehicle when you have it done professionally. The same could be argued about wasserboxers. But then they are 3-4 times easier to sell in these regions. Someone ought to take a car carrier and haul out some of these aircooled Vanagons and loaf vans to where they can be appreciated. We only appreciate them here for parts. Sad to see so many T2's and T3's broken up even when they are relatively dent and rust free. BenT Van Francisco, Calivania
