Volks,

My '85 makes a noise that seems to come from the left rear.  Loudest at low
speeds/low gears quieter as I go up through the gears.  Now here's the
kicker, it goes away when the clutch is depressed.

Only thing I can figure is the transaxle has a problem but intermittently?
