This simple gesture of automotive camaraderie was the norm in the '70's
when I was driving my MGB, which my wife and I still drive, and it is a
custom that I think needs to be brought back.

cell phone, looking for my sun glasses, adjusting the rear view mirror
and mentally making that next Vanagon repair .................... and you
expect me to wave at you ?????????????
