I find it really depends on who the mfr. is. Bosch has lots of stuff made in Brazil, and I have been pleased with the quality. Same with Sachs (clutch parts). But aftermarket parts from a no-name company have let me down. I'd want to know more. tx, bmc :) Ben McCafferty ben@volkscafe.com Volks Cafe 1823 Soquel Avenue Santa Cruz, CA 95062 831-426-1244 http://www.volkscafe.com > From: George Goff <THX0001@AOL.COM> > Reply-To: THX0001@AOL.COM > Date: Wed, 29 Jan 2003 09:39:49 EST > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: Re: Brazilian Brake Master Cylinder > > In a message dated 1/29/03 8:20:12 AM, pokey@VANAGON.ORG writes: > > << Should I worry about quality differences? >> > > At a landfill on the outskirts of Sao Paulo, Juan sifts through a smoldering > heap of garbage in order to glean whatever is dubiously edible, while, at the > same time, in the suburbs of Stuttgart, little Willie burps after having his > fill of the wiener schnitzel. > > What do you think? > > George
