I have an 83 Vanagon (with stock steel wheels) and am trying to fit a set of
hubcaps from a 71 - 79 Bus.  I have seen this done before, so I know it is
possible.  Anyway, the problem I am having is that the dust caps for the
front wheel bearings are preventing the hubcaps from seating properly on the
wheel.  Is there some special trick that I am missing?  Thanks in advance
for your advice.
