About three months ago I was making a 120 mile parts run to some of my favorite bone yards. I fell in behind one of these behemoth motor homes pulling a cream colored 80/83 Air Cooled Westy on a tow bar. He was traveling at about 75 MPH and there were heavy cross winds. I noticed that the Westy was weaving as the wind hit it and the motor home had a real sway form crosswind pressures and gusts. I was about 100 feet behind him when I first fell into a traffic slot but I soon dropped back about 1000 yards since I couldn't run but 60/65 in the heavy winds. This picture wasn't so unusual except the Westy had a flat tire that was shredding off the right rear. My CB wasn't hooked to the antenna and I couldn't catch him to warn him. I'm still wondering what happened to that little Westy. After another 40 miles on the same Interstate I never saw the rig pulled over on the shoulder or in service stations close to the freeway.
