My first car was named "the Sneeze" (not by me) because of the bright green
paint job.  Not my choice of color, but when I bought the car it had a gallon
of car paint in the trunk and I had a Wagner power-painter.  Orange-peel
finish is an understatement -- I think 'pebble' or 'stucco' would be more
appropriate.

My van is named Pandora to express my opinion of it to others quickly and
somewhat poetically.  She doesn't respond to it, though -- she only answers
to "dammit!".
