What does matter is which bolt of cloth you were cut out of. The minimum difference between the quotes is $1700, the maximum is $2400. For the sake of argument, let's agree to call it 2 large. So, if you do not mind a little roll of the bones AND you have some willpower, do the self-insure thing by banking $2000 every time your Normal Coverage premium notice arrives in the mail. After all, the only way you are ever going to beat an insurance agent out of whatever amount of YOUR money that he wants to call his own, is to play his game yourself. The odds are on your side: insurance companies prove that everyday. In fact, I'll bet in five years you'll have your van and, if nothing else, $12K in a CD. May the odds be with you. George
