My wife was driving our 1989 Carat when the engine surged she stopped the
van in a parking lot, turned off the engine and restarted the van.   She got
a couple of blocks further with the engine sounding quite loud when it just
cut out... wouldn't start... she said it acted like it was flooded she
pushed it to a the shoulder with the help of a passing motorist and had AAA
tow it to our mechanic... I'm anxiously awaiting his report... any ideas
what kind of problem were looking at?... thanks
