There's a voluminous site addressed www.thesamba.com.  It has all sorts of
listings for VW cars and stuff.  In the classified listings for post '68 bus
parts there is a listing for rebuilt 2.1L wbx's at $1995 outright/$1395 with
core.  I guess the engine is being offered by Samba-VW but, the site
describing this jewel is :

Has anyone had any good or bad, especially bad, experiences with this
