Bill- So under normal circumstances, there's power to the solenoid all the time, but it's only activated when the ignition switch is operated? I was going under the assumption that there should be NO current to the starter unless the ign. switch is operated. Is it also possible that a short under the dash blew the starter solenoid? How else could the stuff in the cockpit (CDplayer cutting out/e-brake light coming on/smoldering odor) be explained? Thanks for your help- JJ >From: "Bill N" <freeholder@starband.net> >Reply-To: "Bill N" <freeholder@starband.net> >To: "Vanagon" <vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com>, "ok artguy" ><okartguy@hotmail.com> >Subject: Re: HELP!
