Am I missing something with the "South African" Tiico conversion? Isn't this supposed to be the package that was used in the VW South Africa vanagons? All I've seen is vibrations, vibrations, vibrations. I can't believe for a minute that VW South Africa has a bunch of mechanical engineers that would design such a solution. Something simply doesn't wash with this product. The engine that came in our vanagons were/are problematic (understatement) to be sure but they match the transmission and the power curve needs and are smooth as silk....just slow! And they have a decent life span. These I4 conversions appear to be fundamentally, mechanically flawed somewhere. In and of itself the I4 is a great engine, however any engineering team that produced a "vibrating" engine/trans solution wouldn't be employed for long. Are we not getting the total South African VW solution or what. Bob 84 westy
