turned out the fluid in the brake-clutch-fluid tank was riding at the
bottom notch and it took about 8-10 oz. to bring it up to snuff. it felt
like the shroud, or whatever you call the plastic, had not been off for a
very long time. no immediate sign of any air in any lines but will keep an
eye out. the fill-up seems to have brightened the clutch's outlook. thanks
