I was told that the Audi / VW automatics are similar but that the
Jetta/Golf automatics weren't heavy duty enough for the Vanagon but that
the Audi Turbo's were. However,....I've never found anyone who actually
knows if you can do a switch from one of those vehicles to a Vanagon.
