Shock proof will protect but you should have worse gas mileage... I was
looking at this in the store, and that was my quick conclusion...

If you look at Redline ATF it states its made for Dexron IIe applications..
so that would be ideal...

Redline D4 would be safe, but Redline ATF would be better (someone was
telling me that Dexron III and up isn't the best ideal for our vanagons...
that Dexron II is better matched, and that IIe is the best II.... ) (D4 is a
Dexron IV {four}....)
