Sorry, I should have made it clear that the lock extension is used ONLY when the
vehicle is parked.

| reinstall it each time you use it... I'm not so sure it would be safe to
| drive with the rear hatch opened, because of the fumes from the exhaust
| getting sucked into the compartment...
