Just do not believe you - the 4 patches of rubber are what keeps you safe - Get 2 new ones! Vanorak -----Original Message----- From: Royston, Jerry [mailto:gmr@OBPA.USDA.GOV] Sent: Monday, March 10, 2003 2:41 PM To: Subject: Simple tire qurestion I have a couple of holes on the side of one of my front tires that the guy said makes it hard to repair safely. Suggested I get a new tire even though the old one only had 10,000 miles on it. My question is do I have to get two new tires or can I buy one and try and match the tread of the punctured one. It's an old Vredstein that will be hard to find around here. Also, the spare is not a match.
