I can't recall how the boot exactly looks, but why not just use a thin
cable snake?  I would imagine the rigidity of it would make short work
on the problem.

BTW, my beast has all that power crap and is exhibiting signs of cranky
door locks, so I'm sure this will be on my fun list sometime soon.
