I use an 16" breaker bar because it a) fits nicely in the toolbox (which a lug wrench doesn't) b)lets me tighten the lug nuts nice n tight with control rather than force ( small pressure long lever) c)allows me to turn the nut with a lever that is very close to the nut d)doesn't make me think I'm going to skin my knuckles when I lean on it. e)it's never bent or twisted or come off the nut. Ever. f) it's a nice tool and an old friend I've had for at least 25 years. And yes sometime there is anti sieze on the nuts too! I'm puzzled by this problem. Don't you folks use anti-seize on the threads? This is stuff intentionally designed so that you'll be able to get the nuts off when you need to. I was introduced to it decades ago by my brother and I've seen it used at the "performance" related tire stores (though some of the cheaper ones tend to not use it.) I use it each time I pull a tire (except for when changing a flat as that's usually not in my driveway). Perhaps you folks don't pull your tires all that often either (rotation is necessary on Syncros so as to keep the spare tire evenly worn with the other tires.)
