The 022D ECU has a removable chip in other words the chip has a socket that it plugs into and the 022 chip is soldered in place. I have installed sockets in the older 022 and other ECUs it just takes a little skill dont waste your money on the performance chip my testing showed it made less power Bob Donalds Boston Engine
