Subject:Vanagon-derived Military Vehicle?
From:Mark G

I was driving home from work last week, and as I came to a stop sign, another vehicle was coming from the opposite direction and stopped at the opposing sign. The vehicle was obviously military (not U.S., I don't think...) with green matte paint, with big skinny knobby tires. I swear the cab (with the relatively young couple driving,) looked like a Tri-Star or double cab Vanagon, but with a large, canvas cover over the cargo area. It looked fairly new, and definitely European, and there was a badge or logo on the front that I couldn't quite make out (not VW). Any ideas what this could have been?

I've never seen one of these (certainly not in So Cal) before.
