Bucking or shuddering while the clutch is partially engaged is a symptom
of clutch chatter, not an internal transmission problem.  Every car I've
had has done it to one extent or another, but if it's severe you may
have a contaminated clutch disc (due to a bad oil seal) or some other
problem.
