Fun footage! Nasty mud, definitely 4WD stuff. I was wondering, as I watched these Vanagon/Transporter/Caravelle/etc fly over the berms and get air with the front wheels -- is that stock suspension? I know my 85 2WD has tons of clearance, and I've been over some big stuff (about as big as that in the film) but at a slow speed. If I get my front wheels a foot or so off the ground, am I going to crush my front end when I land? Or, will my shocks be sent up through the seats? (ouch) I have had my wheels off the ground once, but only a teeny bit. Just enough to let the steering go free and make a little squeal when I landed. I am a bit afraid to go big, if that will destroy the van. Bill Marshall '85 GL Tiico "Pandora" Aurora, IL
