You can always go to a lower profile tire so you can preserve your
present
gear ratios.

I had new low profile tires on my 83 with 14" wheels.
The diameter was too small but the van drove like a sports car.
I think they were a metric size equal to about 215 but the profile was
very low.
I ran them a few thousand miles but had to go back to stock sizes.
