Custom pistons to address the larger bore and longer stroke?

Can any one weld a synchronizer hub?
what would that be? $20.00  verses $200.00 for the assembly

Has any one played with the diameter of the coolant inlet and outlet holes on
the head to achieve more flow / volume with hopefully less heat = pressure

Pans are easy just dirty.
