Subject:Re: Oil pump size differences? Boston Bob Customers?

Where's a good place to buy the larger oil pumps? I have an 83 Westy.
I'm looking at my main bearings and they don't look so bad initially. I
haven't checked the clearances on my oil pump, but since I've got it
apart, I'm thinking of putting a larger one in. My main problem was
loss of oil pressure when the engine got hot. Still looking for the
source of the problem and hoping that when I put the engine back
together, I'll be getting normal oil pressure at freeway speed when the
engine is hot.
