However I am installing a Subie 2.5 in my 87 Syncro >(bought without a motor). Other than a couple rebuilt starter motors, one head gasket job and a blown voltage regulator, mine's been sweet for over 200k miles. (330000+ km). The exhaust crossover pipes have rotted through more times than I can count, but that's the salt's fault, not the WBX's. Heck, It is an 85 and has only been towed once. (The blown voltage regulator time)... If I'd had a second battery, I could have run it off that far enough to get a new alternator. It certainly tried to get me home that day but the battery went dead half-way.
