Chris (JordanVw@AOL.COM) asked - >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> why do the Canadian westys have the exterior electrical outlet down low by the rocker panel, and have a built-in power cord instead of the type the US/Euro Spec westys have? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Chris - My first Westy was a Canadian 83.5 set up like that. I was told that Canadian electrical codes required a permanently attached shore cord. It was a pain because it took up space in the bottom small cupboard, and was too much trouble to pull in and out of that little hole, so I generally carried a separate extension cord as well. Different codes also explain the difference in the stoves. US spec have a dish-drainer / heat shield, Canadian have a heat shield which is part of the lid and can't be moved. Wonder if there are other differences, other than the metric speedometer? - Mike Finkbiner '87 Westy (which I like more than my '83, but will always remember it fondly) Moscow, ID mike_l_f@hotmail.com Perception is more real than truth, and belief turns truth into lies. - Kedar Nan _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus
