Dealer's just expensive. I was entertained for weeks when I asked them the price of a new tranny. IIRC it was almost 5 grand for a rebuilt - even the parts guy was speachless. That's the way car makers make their $$, however. Personally, I'm pleased that the guy - while willing to sell me the part - referred me to a place with more expertise who ended up selling me the same part for a similar price (flywheel oil seal. $2 and he gave me a starter bushing).
